WHY LEARN IN SMALL GROUPS
Learning with a small group (maximum of four) offers many advantages.
Students often discover that hearing other people's questions helps them understand concepts more deeply and reminds them of ideas they may not have considered themselves.
Group discussions also encourage students to think critically, explain their reasoning and develop the confidence to contribute, valuable skills for success in Geography.
Because numbers are kept small, every student has the opportunity to participate, ask questions and receive individual support.

Small group tuition is an excellent choice if your child enjoys learning with others and would benefit from regular guidance throughout the year.

What happens during these sessions
The Experience
Every small group session is carefully planned to ensure students feel supported, challenged and confident in their learning. With a maximum of 4 students, everyone has the opportunity to ask questions, contribute to discussions and receive personalised guidance.
01Short Retrieval Activity
Sessions begin with a short retrieval activity to revisit previous learning, strengthen long-term memory and identify any misconceptions. We then explore knowledge through clear interactive discussions and carefully selected exam-style activities that help students apply their knowledge rather than simply memorise facts.
02Skill Development
Throughout each session, we focus on developing the skills that examiners are looking for. Students learn how to analyse, interpret and evaluate geographical information, improve their exam technique and confidently tackle extended-response questions.
03Effective Study Skills
Alongside Geography, I also embed valuable study skills such as effective revision strategies, organisation and independent learning techniques, helping students feel prepared not just for their Geography exams, but for their wider studies too.
